About the Workers Uniting Group
The Workers Uniting Group is a broad based left-progressive organisation within Unite the Union, the UK's and Ireland's largest trade union.
It consists of the diverse political and cultural heritage of the component unions brought together to create Unite: Amicus (AEEU, MSF, GPMU and Unifi) and the TGWU.
Unite has two million members in the private and public sectors, and is a campaigning trade union, fighting for the interests of its members in every sector, every region and at every level - from local workplaces, branches, chapels, regions, nationally and internationally.
Workers Uniting Group will seek to organise and to inform left-progressive members of Unite the Union throughout the countries, the regions and industrial sectors where our members work and are represented.
Workers Uniting Group is open to all members of Unite who share the aims and values of the group and who are prepared to accept and promote the policies determined by the collective decision of the members of the group.
The democratic structure of the group is designed to enable the maximum participation of members in the decision and policy making process of the group regardless of where they live and work.
