Our Democratic Structure
Workers Uniting Group will build Unite the Union based on the influence of members through their workplace representatives within a democratic structure that excludes outside vested interests.
Workers Uniting Group believes in lay membership participation, organisation and control of the union as a fundamental and founding principle.
Control is through a Steering Committee consisting of two reps from each previous existing caucus or union plus a chair, secretary and treasurer.
An Executive Committee of the Workers Uniting Group consisting of sectoral and regional representatives, plus Workers Uniting Group officers.
Regional meetings mandate their sectoral and regional representatives to the Executive Committee Of the Workers Uniting Group.
Workers Uniting Group Sector groups will determine sector policy only.
National Workers Uniting Group will meet twice a year.
